GUIDE FOR BREXIT IMPLICATIONS

If you are shipping goods to the United Kingdom, there are a few things that need to be done. Here is a quick guide to help you all along the process.

EORI Number

To import fabrics from France to the United Kingdom, an Economic Operators Registration and Identification number (EORI number) is mandatory.

 If you already mentioned it in your account information, you may go on to the next part. Otherwise, please log in to your account to refer it.

 If you do not have one yet, please follow the short steps on the government website to get one. Once done, please add it to your account.

 

Letter of Authorisation (LOA)

Since 1 January 2022, new customs clearance regulations have been in force for shipments to the UK. No delivery will be effective until the completion of import customs and payment of duties and taxes.

 For your Nona Source orders, the import clearance is done by default through Kuehne+Nagel UK. For your first Nona Source order of the year, you will receive by K+N UK a “Letter of Authorisation”, which must be completed. This process is only for your first order cleared by K+N UK. Hence, nothing else will be required for your next orders.

 Here is a guide to help you complete the Letter of Authorisation:

 The LOA will be sent to you in PDF format, which you will have to complete and sign electronically. Once done, send it back to K+N in PDF format. The LOA cannot be printed for completion.

 At the beginning of the LOA, you have to state your name, company name, and EORI number. The EORI number should written as follow: GB123456789000 (start with ‘GB’ followed by 12 or 15 numbers).

 

1. Deferment of the Charges

You have to tick the 3rd box if you don’t possess a deferment account number.A deferment account alllows you to delay paying most customs or tax charges such as "Custom duty" when you import goods into Great Britain or release goods from an excise warehouse.

2. Insurance

You don’t have to tick the box because there is no insurance by K+N.

 3. HS Commodity Codes

You can choose the first box which means that NONA SOURCE will always write HS COMMODITY CODES on the invoices.

To sign the PDF, you must click on the "signature" box and select your signature as the digital identifier.

PAYMENT

WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?

You can pay for your order via bank transfer, credit card (Mastercard or VISA), Apple Pay or Google Pay. The payment option will appear when you place your order.

VAT

WHAT DO I DO IF AM NOT SUPPOSED TO PAY VAT?

Companies excluded from taxes are the ones registered for VAT in the EU, outside of France.

 If you are not supposed to pay VAT, please email us at contact@nona-source.com with your VAT number, name and email address associated to your account before ordering.

 If you deliver to the UK, Switzerland, Norway, or Serbia, no need to contact us, VAT is automatically waived. However, please make sure to add your EORI number to your account.

DO PRICES INCLUDE VAT?

All our prices are shown without VAT.

VAT is calculated and added during checkout. If you are not supposed to pay VAT, please email us at contact@nona-source.com with your VAT number, name and email address associated to your account before ordering.

SHOWROOMS & APPOINTMENTS

CAN I PLACE MY ORDER AND COLLECT DIRECTLY AT THE SHOWROOM?

Our warehouse and showrooms are not located in the same place, so it is not possible to make pick-up at the Showroom.

It is therefore necessary to go through delivery to receive your rolls.

HOW CAN I PREPARE MY SHOWROOM APPOINTMENT?

As our offer is growing up, we recommend you to prepare your meeting by :

  • Listing your needs : What kind of project are you working on? (One piece/collection, ready-to-wear/haute couture, winter/summer, ...) What kind of products are you looking for? (heavy, light, warm, soft, thin, ...) what is the quantity you need?
  • Pre-select your fabrics on our platform and note the reference number (exemple : https://www.nona-source.com/products/t20a00234, the reference number is T20A00234) and the fabric name.
  • You can also add your favorite fabrics and leathers to your wishlist, so that all your favorite products are all in the same place.

About your appointment, kindly note that:

  • We can't dedicate additional time for your appointment so please be on time to make sure you can see everything you wish.
  • This is a private session so if you cannot come we invite you to let us know as soon as you can by changing the event

DO YOU HAVE THE SAME FABRICS AND LEATHERS ON DISPLAY IN YOUR SHOWROOM?

Yes, all of our fabrics and leathers are on display in our showroom.

HOW CAN I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

You can book an appointment to our showroom, directly from our website by creating a customer account.

Our opening hours are from 9am to 6pm from Monday to Friday.

WHERE IS YOUR SHOWROOM LOCATED?

Our showroom is located at La Caserne in Paris (12 rue Philippe de Girard, 75010 Paris). 

Once you arrived at La Caserne, please make yourself know at the reception desk (righ door at the end of the porch). Then, you can head over the right end of the courtyard to the E stairs, then go up to the 1st floor and take the outside walkway to the first glass door.

DO WE HAVE 'SELF-SERVICE SESSIONS'?

You can come to self-service sessions on Wednesdays. You will share the space with other customers in the slot you have chosen. You will be able to come at a time that suits you, within the fixed times, which are from 9am to 12pm for the morning sessions and from 2pm to 5pm for the afternoon sessions.

Please note that there will be no experts present and it will not be possible to obtain samples on site. However, if you would like samples after your visit, you can order them directly from our website.

PRODUCTS

HOW DO LEATHER BUNDLES WORK?

Bundles are organized by leather type.

For smaller hides like lamb, goat, or shearling, we provide whole hides, usually rolled in bundles of 5 to create a bundle of approximately 2m² (bundles can range between 1 and 4m²).

For larger hides, we either provide 2 half hides or a single whole hide rolled individually.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE CONDITION OF YOUR LEATHER

Each hide undergoes a meticulous inspection at the warehouse, where it is carefully evaluated and graded based on its condition.

We sort the hides into two conditions: Good or Excellent, depending on the severity and frequency of the imperfections.

We offer two options:

  • Excellent, with barely visible micro-defects, excluding the outside area. The hide can be used entirely or almost entirely.
  • Good, with minor to moderate defects, without significantly restricting the overall use of the hide. These hides are priced 20% less than the Excellent condition.

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE SIZE OF A HIDE?

Each leather hide is unique, and the size of a hide depends on several factors (hide format, type of leather, treatments, etc.).

On each product page, you can find all the necessary information, including the average size of the batch, which is located in the "Specifications" category.

CAN I GET SAMPLES BEFORE ORDERING?

You can order samples on our website before getting fabrics. With each product on our website, you will find the “BUY SAMPLE” option. A shopping cart will be created and dedicated only to your samples.

Sample orders can't be grouped with the orders of fabrics, because of logistics issues. Indeed, our samples are directly sent from our offices, and our fabrics from our warehouse. 

HOW ARE OUR FABRICS AND LEATHERS PACKED?

All our fabrics are packaged in rolls to ensure utmost protection during transport or storage.

For quality reasons we do not send folded fabrics.

Regarding leathers, the skins are rolled up with each other and delivered in 'leather bundles'. For each set of hides, the range of the total size is indicated on the product page.

IS THERE A MINIMUM QUANTITY TO ORDER?

There is no minimum quantity to order.

However, since we do not propose cuts, the minimum order quantity is the smallest length available on the product page and depends on each reference / color.

CAN I RESERVE FABRICS OR LEATHERS?

It is not possible to reserve a product on our website. Due to the very limited quantities of our references, we cannot offer the possibility to reserve or to put an option on rolls without placing an order.

WHERE DO OUR FABRICS AND LEATHERS COME FROM?

Nona Source upcycles fabrics and leathers from the dormant stocks of Luxury Maisons, mostly from the LVMH group. As a result, the production comes primarily from France and Italy.

The origin of the fabrics is indicated in the technical sheet, and the tannery for the leathers is mentioned directly on the product page.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CUT FABRICS?

We currently have a cutting service for upholstery fabrics only.

 It is a topic on which we are currently working internally, and we hope to be able to extend it to all of our products in the upcoming future. Thank you for your understanding.

 Hence, for the rest of our fabrics and leathers, the minimal order quantity is the smallest roll available of each product/reference's page.

INVOICE

WHERE CAN I FIND MY INVOICE?

You can download your invoice directly in your customer account, by clicking on "My account" then on "View Invoice".

SHIPPING

DELIVERY OF YOUR ORDER

Your order will be prepared by our warehouse within 2 working days after payment. Once done, you will receive an email confirming shipment.

In the following days, an email with the tracking link of your order will be sent to you.

Our carrier will then contact you on the phone number mentioned in your order details, to schedule a delivery day.

 Please note that our carrier delivers to the ground floor.

The estimated delivery time is 3 to 15 business days in Europe.

HOW ARE SHIPPING FEES CALCULATED?

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout according to your delivery address and weight of rolls ordered.

Note that all our fabrics are packed and shipped in rolls to maintain their quality and cannot be folded. Carriers therefore apply an extra cost due to the non-standard width of the package exceeding 1.20 m.

As a result, transportation may be costly for small orders. It is therefore more advantageous to order several rolls at once.

WHERE DO WE WHIP?

We ship within European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Serbia.

HOW DO I CREATE AN ACCOUNT?

You can click here to create your account. Then, select your profil and register your company information. 

 Only companies can create a customer account.

HOW TO CONNECT TO MY ACCOUNT?

To access your account, enter the email address associated with your registration on the login page, then click "Continue".

A one-time login code will be sent to your email address. Enter this code to securely sign in to your account.

ORDER

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO ORDER FROM NONA SOURCE?

Purchase on our website is exclusively reserved for professionals and requires a company identification number: association, micro-entrepreneur and companies. If you are a student, you need one of these statuses to order fabrics and samples.

 ASSOCIATION

You can place your order directly on our website as an association. Make sure to enter your association identification number when creating your account.

MICRO-ENTREPRENEUR

As a micro-entrepreneur you are allowed to order on our website. Please, mention “micro-entrepreneur” in the VAT field when creating your account.

HOW CAN I PLACE AN ORDER?

To place an order, you must log in to your customer account. You can then place your order directly from our website, by validating your cart.

 Please note that only companies with a company identification number can place an order on our website.

IS THERE A MINIMUM QUANTITY TO ORDER?

There is no minimum quantity to order.

However, since we do not propose cuts, the minimum order quantity is the smallest length available on the product page and depends on each reference / color.
